Welcome!!!

When you're arriving on campus, you'll want to head to GPS location:

6614 Shepley Drive, Clayton, MO 63105

Turn onto Shepley Drive from Big Bend Boulevard (it's a one way street). Once you're on Shepley, drive toward the clock tower and pull over in the half circle on your right next to the clock tower. This will be the best place to unload from.

Stop in the Summer Conference office in Umrath. On your left, you'll have passed the office on Shepley drive when you get to the half circle) to get your room key (and parking pass if you need it), then grab your luggage and it's a short walk around the corner to the South 40 House where we are staying. We are on the 2nd floor - there is an elevator if you stay to the right when you walk in the building.

If you drive, we recommend parking on the second floor of the Wallace Garage - from there you can walk out of the garage towards the South 40 House entrance.

If you have any questions or issues when you arrive, please feel free to call Amanda at (812) 870-2259 or Lori at 203-627-7393.

Breakout: Internet Security
On Monday evening, after the Opening Dinner, a Breakout activity was offered for attendees. A Breakout allows the popular activity of escape rooms to become portable and possible in smaller spaces. Attend this follow-up session to learn about resources to create your own escape room or breakout activity. Create your own clues to meet your needs, resource limitations, and time constraints. This activity can provide team building and training reinforcement, and it is popular with students, faculty, and staff.

Student Panel Discussion - What Students Want
Have you ever wondered what students really think about technology and student support at their colleges and universities? You now have the chance to ask students the questions you really want to know the answers to - such as how many internet-capable devices do they really have, how and when do they use them, why they would contact someone for assistance, is the wireless really slow, and what resources they wished they had on their campuses. This panel of students will answer your questions and share their own experiences with technology resources offered at the institutions they attend.

Many colleges and universities require multi-factor authentication for some or all of their constituents. How do you know if you're making IT decisions that are truly in the students' best interest? How do you know you're accounting for students' needs during roll-out, decommission, and change processes? Using several example projects (including the road bumps and lessons-learned along the way), I'll talk about how Yale's Student Technology Collaborative has borrowed ideas from User Experience (UX) app design and applied them to other aspects of IT support to make sure our end users' needs are always front and center.
